The Limes, perched high in the Surrey Hills, represents the most technically demanding and ambitious undertaking by Compass Construction to date. In close collaboration with our clients, Mitchell Evans Architects, and the Gunter and Co. design team, we reimagined the original property to breathe new life into the structure.
The transformation began by stripping the house back to its original studs, allowing for a complete reconfiguration of the space. Key architectural features were repositioned, including the sweeping staircase, which became a central focal point of the new design. Curved walls and doorways were introduced, adding both elegance and a sense of flow throughout the interior.
The renovation was executed to an exceptional standard, resulting in a home that stands as a testament to quality craftsmanship and innovative design. This achievement was recognised in the March 2026 issue of Homes and Garden, where the project was prominently featured.
